Holiday Magic with a Mission: Child Advocates of Fort Bend Announces 2025 Christmas Home Tour
For many in Fort Bend County, the holidays don’t officially begin until the doors open on the annual Christmas Home Tour — and this year, the 34th celebration promises even more holiday cheer for a cause that truly matters.
Child Advocates of Fort Bend has officially announced the 2025 dates for its highly anticipated Christmas Home Tour, scheduled for Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6. The two-day event invites more than 1,800 guests to step inside beautifully decorated homes across Sienna, Sweetwater, Venetian Estates, and Greatwood — four of Fort Bend County’s most iconic neighborhoods.
The event, which began more than three decades ago as a grassroots effort to raise funds and keep the agency’s doors open, has become a heartwarming local tradition. Each home is adorned with festive décor — often with help from professional designers — and reflects the homeowners’ unique style and holiday spirit. Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite as they admire the twinkling lights, garlands, and trees.
“Last year’s Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt was such a hit that we’re bringing it back this year,” said Tarina Sheridan, Events Specialist for Child Advocates of Fort Bend. “We’ll also have live music from local performers, an ice cream cart, homemade cookies, and plenty of Christmas magic along the way.”

Beyond the sparkle and joy of the season, the Christmas Home Tour serves a much deeper purpose. It is one of Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s largest fundraising events, with 94% of proceeds going directly toward programs that serve abused and neglected children in Fort Bend and surrounding counties.
Last year alone, Child Advocates of Fort Bend served 3,448 children and families through a comprehensive continuum of services, including its Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program and the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC). These nationally recognized programs work in partnership with law enforcement, CPS, and the court system to ensure that each child’s voice is heard and healing begins as soon as possible.
At the core of this mission are the agency’s more than 200 trained volunteer advocates and staff clinicians who support children navigating the foster care and legal systems. Whether it’s providing a consistent adult presence through CASA or coordinating therapeutic services and forensic interviews through the CAC, the goal is always the same — to strengthen the voice of the child, heal the hurt, and break the cycle of abuse.
“We are incredibly grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who make this event possible,” Sheridan added. “More than 700 people help as hosts, bakers, entertainers, or behind-the-scenes organizers. It’s a community effort in every sense.”
