Heading Out of Town for Thanksgiving? Ella Crossing Residents Encouraged to Use Vacation Watch Service
As Thanksgiving travel begins, residents of Ella Crossing can take one extra step to protect their homes during the holiday break—signing up for Harris County Constable Precinct 4’s Vacation Watch program.
Whether you’re headed out of town to visit family or taking a long-awaited vacation, Precinct 4 deputies can help keep your property safe with routine checks while you’re away. The Vacation Watch service is free and available to all residents in the precinct.
How It Works
Once you sign up, uniformed deputies will conduct periodic checks around your home’s perimeter while you’re gone, looking for signs of forced entry or suspicious activity. If anything appears out of place, the department will contact you immediately.
How to Sign Up
You can submit a Vacation Watch request easily online at: constablepct4.com/vacation-watch-request.html

The form asks for your contact information, dates you’ll be away, and any vehicles or lights that should be on the property. You can also note if someone will be feeding pets or checking mail.
Why It Helps
Vacation Watch programs give residents peace of mind and provide law enforcement with better awareness of which homes may be temporarily unoccupied. Deputies who already patrol your neighborhood can add your home to their checklist and ensure that your absence doesn’t become an opportunity for crime.
Residents are encouraged to sign up as early as possible before the Thanksgiving holiday begins. If you live in Ella Crossing and are traveling next week, this is one step worth taking for a safer holiday.
