Free Easter Egg Hunt at Woodlake Park in San Antonio: 8,000 Eggs, Family Fun and Photos with the Easter Bunny

February 13 2026

For families across San Antonio’s East Side, Easter weekend will come with a little extra excitement this year. Bexar County, Texas – Government is hosting a FREE Easter Egg Hunt at Woodlake Park, sponsored by Commissioner Tommy Calvert, and it’s shaping up to be one of the largest community egg hunts in the area.

With more than 8,000 eggs set to be hidden across Woodlake Park, the event offers a simple but meaningful opportunity: a safe, welcoming space where neighbors can gather, children can laugh, and families can make spring memories together — without spending a dime.

The event takes place Sunday, March 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the first egg hunt beginning promptly at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlake Park, 6663 Farm-to-Market Rd. 78, San Antonio, TX 78244.

Four Age-Grouped Easter Egg Hunts

To make sure every child has a fair and fun experience, organizers have planned four separate egg hunts by age group:

  • 1–3 years old
  • 4–6 years old
  • 7–9 years old
  • 10–12 years old

This thoughtful setup helps younger children participate comfortably while older kids still get the thrill of the hunt. Families are encouraged to bring baskets and arrive early to be ready for their designated start time.

More Than Just Eggs: A Full Morning of Family Activities

Beyond the egg hunts, Woodlake Park will transform into a lively spring celebration featuring:

  • Crafts and face painting
  • A balloon artist
  • A petting zoo
  • Inflatables
  • Food trucks
  • Photos with the Easter Bunny

For many parents, it’s the kind of event that makes planning easy — one location, multiple activities, and something for children of all ages. Grandparents, neighbors, and friends are welcome, making it a true community-wide gathering.

Why It Matters for the Woodlake and East San Antonio Community
