Free Back-to-School Pool Party Brings One More Summer Night to Converse
For families settling back into school-year routines, summer is not quite finished in Converse.
The Converse Parks & Recreation Commission is inviting residents to close out the season with a Back to School Pool Party on Friday, Aug. 28, offering three hours of free swimming, music and family-friendly activities at the Converse City Pool, located at 307 School Street.
The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m., and admission is free.
Free Family Fun at the Converse City Pool
The evening is designed as a relaxed way for children, parents and neighbors to celebrate the start of a new school year while enjoying one more warm-weather night together.
DJ Mad Mike will provide music throughout the event, while bubble machines and open pool time will add to the atmosphere around the city pool.
Families can also pick up free snow cones from Mike’s Snow-Biz while supplies last. Free pickles and water will also be available while supplies last.
