Fort Bend County Fair 2026 Entertainment Lineup to Be Revealed July 8 Ahead of 90th Anniversary Celebration
For generations of Fort Bend County families, the arrival of the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo has marked more than the beginning of fall—it's a tradition that brings neighbors together, celebrates the county's agricultural roots, supports local youth and creates memories that span generations.
That annual excitement officially begins next week when the Fort Bend County Fair hosts its 2026 Entertainment Reveal on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, giving residents their first opportunity to learn which artists will headline this year's milestone 90th anniversary celebration. The free community event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Talyard Brewing Company, located at 1033 Imperial Blvd. in Sugar Land, featuring giveaways, special guests and family-friendly fun.
With this year's theme, "90 Years Strong. Honoring the Past, Growing the Future," organizers are preparing to celebrate not only another year of entertainment, but nearly a century of community tradition that continues to benefit Fort Bend County residents.
When Will the 2026 Fort Bend County Fair Entertainment Lineup Be Announced?
The Fort Bend County Fair 2026 entertainment lineup will be revealed during a free public event on Wednesday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Talyard Brewing Company in Sugar Land.
Each year, anticipation builds around the Fair's concert schedule, which traditionally features a mix of country, Texas country, Tejano and regional artists performing throughout the Fair. While the music is one of the biggest draws, the Entertainment Reveal has become a popular kickoff event that gives families and music fans a chance to gather long before opening day.
Guests attending the July 8 reveal can enjoy an evening of giveaways, special guests and community fellowship while learning who will perform during this year's Fair.
Why the Fort Bend County Fair Is One of Texas' Most Beloved Community Traditions
Although thousands attend each year for the concerts, rodeo, carnival rides and fair food, the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo has always been about much more than entertainment.
Since its founding nearly 90 years ago, the Fair has grown into one of Texas' most recognized county fairs while maintaining its mission of supporting agriculture, youth development and community service. Every fall, residents from Sugar Land, Rosenberg, Richmond, Fulshear, Missouri City, Needville, Katy and communities throughout Fort Bend County come together to celebrate the county's heritage through livestock exhibitions, rodeo competitions, educational programs, local businesses and family-friendly attractions.
That community impact extends well beyond the ten-day event.
More than 1,500 volunteers, serving on over 50 committees, work throughout the year to organize the Fair, making it one of the county's largest volunteer-driven community events.
The Fair also continues its longstanding investment in local students. In 2026, the organization awarded $250,000 in scholarships to deserving youth, helping support future leaders across Fort Bend County through educational opportunities funded in part by proceeds from Fair events.
That commitment to education and agriculture remains one of the defining characteristics that sets the Fort Bend County Fair apart from many other annual festivals across Texas.
The Celebration Starts Before Opening Day
The excitement actually begins a week before the Fair officially opens.
The Fort Bend County Fair Championship BBQ Cook-off, scheduled for September 18-19, will welcome nearly 100 competitive cook teams to the fairgrounds for two days of championship barbecue, live entertainment and friendly competition.
For many attendees, the cook-off has become a tradition of its own, offering an early opportunity to reconnect with friends and neighbors while enjoying some of Texas' best barbecue.
