Fire Up the Summer: Registration Open for Westlake Junior Fire Academy 2025
One of the most anticipated youth events of the summer is officially back — and registration is open! The 5th Annual Westlake Junior Fire Academy is set to ignite excitement once again from July 21–25, 2025, offering a hands-on, high-energy experience at the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, located at 19636 Saums Rd, Houston, TX 77084.
Open to teens ages 12–15, this immersive five-day fire academy is more than just a camp — it’s a chance for kids to step into the boots of real-life first responders. From riding in fire trucks to learning emergency medical service (EMS) skills, participants will experience the intensity and camaraderie of life inside a firehouse.
A Summer Adventure Unlike Any Other
Designed to be educational, empowering, and unforgettable, the Westlake Junior Fire Academy has gained a reputation across the community for being “often copied, never duplicated.” Campers don’t just learn fire safety — they gain confidence, teamwork skills, and a new level of respect for the brave men and women behind the sirens.
The cost is $100 per camper, and that includes:
- Two camp shirts and one pair of camp shorts
- A camp bag stuffed with swag
- Daily meals and snacks
- And memories that will last a lifetime
Registration closes Thursday, July 10 and priority is given to kids who live within the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department’s service district, making this a hyper-local opportunity families won’t want to miss.
