Halloween is getting an early start in Lakes on Eldridge this year, with an afternoon of costumes, candy and neighborhood fun planned for families of all ages. The Lakes on Eldridge Spooktacular Halloween Festival will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the clubhouse parking lot, giving residents a chance to celebrate together before Halloween night.

The neighborhood event will feature live music, a bounce house, balloon artists, games and trick-or-treating, along with shaved ice available for purchase from Husky Sno.

But there's another way residents can be part of the celebration, even if they aren't bringing little ones to enjoy the activities. The Lakes on Eldridge Social Committee is welcoming candy donations and neighbors who would like to set up a table to hand out treats during the event.

What to Expect at the Lakes on Eldridge Spooktacular Halloween Festival

The Spooktacular Halloween Festival is designed to give children, parents, grandparents and neighbors an opportunity to enjoy Halloween festivities together in a familiar community setting.

With several activities planned throughout the afternoon, families can look forward to more than the traditional trick-or-treat experience.

Festival activities will include:

• Trick-or-treating: Children can collect Halloween treats during the neighborhood celebration.
• Live music: Entertainment will add to the afternoon's festivities.
• Bounce house: Young attendees can enjoy an afternoon of bouncing and play.
• Balloon artists: A favorite attraction for children who enjoy creative balloon designs.
• Games: Family-friendly activities will offer additional ways to participate.
• Husky Sno: Shaved ice will be available for purchase on-site.

All ages are welcome, and Halloween costumes are encouraged. Whether children arrive dressed as superheroes, princesses, ghosts or their favorite characters, the afternoon offers an opportunity to show off their costumes and enjoy the holiday with friends.

Candy Donations and Trick-or-Treat Tables Needed: How Lakes on Eldridge Residents Can Help

One of the most anticipated parts of any Halloween celebration is trick-or-treating, and the Lakes on Eldridge Social Committee is inviting residents to help make that experience special for neighborhood children.

Residents who would like to donate Halloween candy or set up a table to distribute treats at the Spooktacular are welcome to participate.

Anyone interested in contributing candy or hosting a trick-or-treat table should contact the Lakes on Eldridge Social Committee to let organizers know they would like to help.

Setting up a table gives neighbors an opportunity to participate directly in the celebration, greet families as they make their way through the festivities and help create a welcoming Halloween experience for children.

For residents who cannot attend the entire festival or would rather contribute behind the scenes, donating candy is another way to support the event.

The invitation is open to anyone interested in helping, and every contribution can help make the afternoon more enjoyable for the families attending.

Local Sponsors Support the Lakes on Eldridge Halloween Celebration

This year's Spooktacular Halloween Festival is supported by two sponsors, Pools by Dallas and Rise Association Management.

Their support helps bring the neighborhood's Halloween celebration to life, providing families with an opportunity to enjoy seasonal entertainment and activities close to home.

Community events like Spooktacular also offer residents a chance to meet neighbors they might otherwise only see in passing, giving children an opportunity to spend time with friends and families a reason to gather outside their usual routines.

The Lakes on Eldridge community extends its appreciation to Pools by Dallas and Rise Association Management for supporting this year's festivities.

Residents who would like to contribute candy or set up a treat table should reach out to the Lakes on Eldridge Social Committee ahead of the festival so organizers know they are interested in participating.

Making Halloween Memories Close to Home

For many families, some of the most memorable Halloween moments happen close to home, surrounded by familiar streets, friends and neighbors.

The Lakes on Eldridge Spooktacular gives children an opportunity to enjoy their costumes, collect treats and take part in seasonal activities while parents and other residents spend time together.

With Halloween falling one week after the festival, the October 24 celebration also gives families an early opportunity to enjoy the holiday before neighborhood trick-or-treating on October 31.

Whether attending with children, helping distribute candy or contributing treats for the event, Lakes on Eldridge residents have several ways to take part in this year's celebration.
