Featured Spring Area Park: Spring Trails Preserve
Named after the adjoining neighborhood, Spring Trails Preserve is Montgomery County Precinct 3's flagship nature preserve and the home of the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center. Boasting hundreds of acres, miles of trails, scenic views, and a 5 acre fishing pond this preserve has everything you need for full day of nature exploration.
Montgomery County Precinct 3's education efforts are mainly focused at the Nature Center and the Spring Trails Preserve. Exhibits featuring natural objects, live animal ambassadors, and hands-on activities serve to connect visitors to the natural world using sight, sound, and touch. The Children’s Corner features books, games and puzzles meant to stimulate curiosity about the world around us.
The Spring Trails Preserve is part of the Spring Creek Greenway, a 12,000 acre conservation project that stretches from FM 2978 to US HWY 59. Montgomery County Precinct 3, in partnership with the Bayou Land Conservancy and other groups, actively works to preserve this land for future generations. The Greenway project allows everyone to discover the beauty of biodiversity, the fun of outdoor recreation, and the importance of our conservation efforts.
Trails across Spring Creek Greenway offer a wide variety of habitats and wildlife for everyone to enjoy. For your safety, please keep to the marked trails and do not use trails that have been closed. All pets must be under restraint at all times. Please be aware that camping is not allowed, and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
