Experienced Convention and Visitors Bureau Manager Returns to Conroe
Sherry Chaney Morgan has accepted an offer to head Conroe's Convention and Visitors Bureau. Chaney Morgan, a Conroe native, served as Conroe's CVB Tourism Coordinator from 2012-2017. Most recently, Chaney Morgan served as Executive Director at Visit Nacogdoches. Under her vision, leadership, and combined team efforts, Visit Nacogdoches became an award-winning CVB in Texas.
"Success in Tourism is often defined solely based on how full our hotels are on any given day - which is crucial as hotel occupancy taxes fund tourism. But people shouldn't be viewed as mere dollar signs. My goal with Visit Conroe is to ensure that visitors feel welcomed to Conroe and come back for years to come. Conroe is my home, and it is my profound privilege to be allowed to serve," said Chaney Morgan.
Chaney Morgan comes to Conroe with vast experience, including being; Certified Tourism Executive via the Texas Tourism Alliance and a Certified Texas Friendly hospitality specialist through Texas AgriLife.
Chaney Morgan will begin her new role on June 5th. The City of Conroe Communications Team will continue supporting the CVB marketing efforts as she builds her complete CVB team.
