Empowering Youth Through Music: Registration Now Open for F2F Music Summer Camp in Fort Bend County

March 11 2024

This summer, local middle and high school students are invited to connect with their musical passion at the F2F Music Summer Camp hosted in partnership with Houston Community College, Southwest. Focused on intermediate-level music students in Fort Bend County, the F2F Summer Music Camp is designed to enhance musical creativity, improve playing techniques, jazz improvisation, and introduce STEAM through music technology.

Registration is now open, but with limited spaces available, aspiring musicians are encouraged to secure their spot today.

The Music Summer Camp is a project of Faith 2 Form (F2F), a nonprofit organization committed to bridging the access gap to music education and opportunities for local youth. Founded by renowned recording artist and professional Hammond Organist, Vel Lewis, F2F has made significant strides in empowering disadvantaged youth through the power of music.

Lewis embarked on this journey of philanthropy, inspired by childhood experiences that opened his world to the joy of music. He established Faith 2 Form with a robust network of professional musicians and supporters to offer new avenues of hope and opportunities for young musicians in his community.

Faith 2 Form is more than just a conduit for music education; the organization actively engages with the community, identifying students in need of support in partnership with school districts like Fort Bend ISD, Lamar CISD, and Stafford MSD. Through local and federal grants and donations, they fund programs like the Instrument Fund Program, which provides brand-new instruments to students, an essential resource often hampered by financial constraints.

Beyond the provision of instruments, Faith 2 Form offers clinics and workshops designed to enhance performance techniques and build confidence among young musicians. The summer camp is one such program, providing professional instruction and an opportunity to learn from recording artists.
