Empowering Young Musicians: F2F Music Summer Camp Returns to Fort Bend County

May 27 2024

Faith 2 Form (F2F), a nonprofit organization dedicated to making music accessible to all youth, in collaboration with Houston Community College Southwest, is thrilled to announce an exciting summer opportunity for budding musicians in Fort Bend County. From July 8th to 19th, the F2F Music Summer Camp is back to ignite the passion of music in young hearts once again.

Open to all intermediate-level music students in the County, the camp will operate from Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to 3 PM. The camp's agenda, packed with a plethora of fun activities, aims to make every moment an enriching experience for the participants.

An impressive lineup of guest speakers is scheduled to share their wisdom and techniques with the young aspirants. This includes KRUTZ Strings, Hyperscore, Fort Bend County Judge Sonia Rash, Musiqa, renowned smooth jazz recording artist Paula Atherton, and Wayne Street Live's owner/audio engineer/musician, Quincy Cole.

Adhering to F2F's commitment to holistic growth, the camp extends beyond music. It introduces students to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) through innovative music technology. Music being a universal language, F2F believes in harnessing its power to transform young lives and empower them to express themselves freely.

The power behind this innovative initiative, founder Vel Lewis, is a testament to the transformative power of music. As a professional musician and a dedicated mentor, Lewis established F2F to promote music appreciation and education among youth.

The camp will be held at the HCC Stafford Campus in the Fine Arts Center. Registration costs $250 per student and is scheduled to close at midnight on June 10, 2024. However, limited scholarships are available for those in need.

F2F encourages you to seize this unique opportunity and invest in your child's future. Register today and take the first step towards a summer filled with tuneful memories and life skills that extend far beyond the scope of music alone.
