Eight CFISD Water Polo Teams Advance to Regional Quarterfinals

Eight CFISD water polo teams advanced past the area round of the Class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional quarterfinal round, while the Cy-Fair High School boys’ team and the Jersey Village High School girls’ team concluded their seasons and finished as area round finalists.

On the girls’ side, Bridgeland High School defeated Pearland Dawson, 13-4. The Bears advance to face Stratford at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the Spring Branch ISD Natatorium (10404 Tiger Trail).

Cypress Woods High School defeated George Ranch, 15-1. The Wildcats advance to face Cypress Creek High School at 4 p.m. on Oct 17 at the CFISD Natatorium (12550 Windfern Road). The Cougars advance to the regional quarterfinals following a 28-3 win over Fort Bend Ridge Point.

Cypress Ranch High School defeated Alvin, 8-6. The Mustangs advance to face Spring Branch ISD’s Memorial at 6 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the CFISD Natatorium.

Cy-Fair High School received a bye in the area round and advanced to face Richmond Foster at the Lamar Consolidated ISD Natatorium (1011 Horace Mann) in Rosenberg.

On the boys’ side, Jersey Village High School defeated Fort Bend Hightower, 9-0. The Falcons advance to face Richmond Foster at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the Lamar Consolidated ISD Natatorium.

Cypress Creek defeated Fort Bend Ridge Point, 17-3. The Cougars advance to face Fort Bend Travis at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the CFISD Natatorium.

The Cypress Creek High School boys’ water polo team defeated Fort Bend Ridge Point to advance to the regional quarterfinal round. The Cougars will face Fort Bend Travis at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the CFISD Natatorium.
 

Cypress Ranch defeated Alvin, 12-7. The Mustangs advance to face Strake Jesuit at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the CFISD Natatorium.

Tickets are $5 each for adults and students. Links for games to be played at the CFISD Natatorium can be found on the CFISD Athletics website’s Tickets Page utilizing the Aquatics button. Separate ticket links are available for playoff games on Monday, Oct. 16 and Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The Jersey Village girls were defeated by Richmond Foster, 24-1. The Falcons were District 17-6A’s third seed and finished as area round finalists.

The Cy-Fair boys were defeated by Richmond Foster, 21-2. The Bobcats were District 17-6A’s third seed and finished as area round finalists.
