Cypress Ridge High School Junior Allison Ramirez Named CFISD Student of the Week
At Cypress Ridge High School, junior Allison Ramirez is standing out not only for her academic achievements, but for the focus, discipline, and heart she brings to everything she does. At just 16 years old, Allison has been named CFISD Student of the Week, a recognition that highlights students who exemplify dedication, leadership, and a strong commitment to learning within Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
Allison, an 11th-grade student at Cypress Ridge High School, has already built an impressive academic résumé. She is a recipient of the prestigious BigFuture Scholarship, earning $40,000 toward her future education. She is also enrolled in the college academy, where she is on track to graduate high school with an associate degree while balancing four dual credit courses. Her accomplishments don’t stop there—Allison was named Sophomore of the Year and is actively involved in multiple campus organizations, including Women in STEM, the National Social Studies Honor Society (NSHS), the National Art Honor Society (NAHS), and Interact. She also hopes to take on a leadership role as an officer in the Criminal Justice Club.
Inside the classroom, Allison finds joy in learning environments that encourage both creativity and calm. “My favorite class is English 3 dual credit because of how welcoming the teacher is, as well as the subject overall being very relaxing because of the books we read,” she shared.
Outside of class, Allison has developed routines that help her stay balanced during what she describes as one of the most demanding years of high school. “My favorite things to do after class are to bake and study. While baking cookies (usually for my family), I listen to videos from YouTube about my classes,” she said, explaining how she blends relaxation with preparation.

Her drive is deeply personal and rooted in family. “My sole ambition is to make the top 10 percent this year, so my sister who is a freshman, can look up to me in the future,” Allison explained. “I also want to pursue my dream of being the first lawyer in my family."
When asked about what keeps her grounded, Allison points to passions that provide both comfort and escape. “I am most passionate about reading and baking because both have been outlets for me during junior year,” she said, noting how books and time in the kitchen help her manage stress while staying inspired.
Allison’s interests extend beyond academics, from listening to her favorite song, Cherry Waves by Deftones, to enjoying crime-driven television series and story-rich films like Iron Man. Whether she’s studying, baking for her family, or planning for a future in law, Allison Ramirez represents the determination and promise found across Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
Her recognition as CFISD Student of the Week serves as a reminder of the remarkable students shaping the future of the Cypress Ridge High School community—and the powerful impact of ambition paired with perseverance.
