Cypress Ranch Volleyball Team Punches Ticket to Region II-6A Final
The energy is rising in Cypress as the Cypress Ranch High School volleyball team continues its impressive playoff run, advancing to the Region II-6A final in the UIL Class 6A postseason. With a four-set victory over Rockwall on November 10, the Mustangs secured their spot in the championship match—and the excitement is building across the community.
The semifinal showdown saw Cypress Ranch outplay Rockwall with scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-16, and 25-20. The team’s grit and teamwork were on full display as they held strong against a tough opponent, thrilling their supporters with powerful plays and consistent defense.
The Mustangs now prepare to face Conroe Grand Oaks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, at Fort Bend ISD’s Wheeler Fieldhouse, located at 16403 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479. Tickets are available for $6 and must be purchased online through GoFan, with availability for both adults and students.

While Cypress Ranch moves forward, Cypress Woods High School’s season came to a close after a heart-wrenching five-set battle against North Forney. The Wildcats fought valiantly, with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-27, 24-26, and 15-17, narrowly falling short in the final moments. As District 16-6A’s second seed, Cypress Woods finishes a strong season as region semifinalists—a testament to the team’s talent and determination.
