Cypress Creek Fire Department Launches Holiday Angel Tree to Help 21 Children in Need, Invites Lakewood Forest North Residents to Give
For families facing financial challenges, the holidays can bring added worries about how to make Christmas special for their children. This year, Cypress Creek Fire Department is giving residents across its service area, including those in Lakewood Forest North, a simple way to help local children experience the excitement of finding presents under the Christmas tree.
The department, which serves the community through Harris County Emergency Services District No. 13 (ESD 13), has partnered with schools in its service area to organize a holiday Angel Tree gift drive benefiting 21 children in need.
The goal is straightforward: collect 63 gifts, three for each child, by December 11, 2026. Through an online Amazon Wish List, neighbors can purchase a gift that will be shipped directly to the fire department, where firefighters and staff will take care of wrapping the presents and coordinating their delivery to participating schools.
63 Christmas Wishes, 21 Local Children
Cypress Creek Fire Department's Angel Tree initiative brings together two familiar parts of the community: the firefighters who respond when neighbors need help and the local schools that work closely with children and families throughout the year.
By partnering with schools within its service territory, the department is focusing its holiday giving efforts on children in the communities it serves.
Each of the 21 participating children has three gifts included on the department's Amazon Angel Tree Wish List, creating 63 individual opportunities for residents, families, businesses and community groups to contribute.
The program also makes participation accessible for people who may want to help but cannot make time for an in-person donation drop-off. Rather than shopping for a gift and delivering it to a fire station, supporters can select an item online and have it sent directly to the department.
For residents who regularly see Cypress Creek firefighters responding to emergencies, visiting schools and serving their neighborhoods, the Angel Tree offers another way to connect with the people behind those familiar fire trucks.
How to Donate to the Cypress Creek Fire Department Angel Tree
Participating in the 2026 Angel Tree gift drive takes just a few steps.
Residents can visit the department's official Amazon Angel Tree Wish List, browse the requested gifts and choose an item they would like to purchase.
Once purchased, gifts will be shipped directly to Cypress Creek Fire Department. Department personnel will wrap the presents and coordinate their delivery to the participating schools, helping ensure the gifts reach the intended children.
The department has established Friday, December 11, 2026, as the final day to purchase gifts for the program.
Residents planning to participate are encouraged to shop early so that purchases can be processed and delivered in time for the department to prepare the presents.

A Holiday Tradition That Connects Firefighters, Schools and Neighbors
Fire departments are often associated with emergency responses, fire prevention and public safety education. But community service also takes place outside those responsibilities, particularly when local organizations work together to support families.
For Cypress Creek Fire Department, this Angel Tree program provides an opportunity to extend that community connection into the holiday season.
The partnership with area schools is especially meaningful because schools often serve as important connections between families and available community resources. By coordinating the effort through local campuses, the department can direct its holiday giving initiative toward children within its own service area.
The program also creates an opportunity for neighbors to participate together. Families can choose a gift as a holiday activity, coworkers can contribute to the wish list, and neighborhood groups can share the department's announcement to help spread the word.
Even purchasing a single item helps move the department closer to its goal of fulfilling all 63 gift requests.
How Can Help Make the Holidays Brighter
With December 11 approaching, Cypress Creek Fire Department is asking the community to help fulfill every gift request on its Angel Tree.
Lakewood Forest North residents who would like to participate can shop the department's Amazon Wish List or share the initiative with friends, neighbors, coworkers and local organizations who may be interested in contributing.
The department will handle wrapping and coordinating gift delivery, allowing supporters to focus on choosing a present that will help make Christmas morning a little more special for a local child.
For the 21 children included in this year's program, the gifts represent a chance to enjoy a holiday tradition that many families look forward to all year. And for the neighbors who help provide them, it's a reminder that community service can take many forms, including one carefully chosen Christmas present.
