Cy-Fair Fire Fest Returns in October with Live Demonstrations and Family Fun

September 17 2024

The much-anticipated Cy-Fair Fire Fest hosted by the Cy-Fair Fire Department is scheduled to return on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Set to take place from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Cy-Fair Fire Department Station 11, located at 18132 West Road in Cypress near the Lone Star College-CyFair campus, the event promises an action-packed day of family-friendly activities and educational experiences.

Fire Fest will feature a variety of live demonstrations, showing professional first responders in action. These will include vehicle rescues, car and kitchen fire demos, live fire scenarios and rappelling exhibitions. Attendees will also have the chance to hone their fire safety skills with fire extinguisher drills, smoke house alarm practice, and an interactive play at the CFFD spray house.

The community gathering will offer opportunities to meet real first responders, see a Life Flight helicopter up close, go on apparatus tours, and see and touch fire equipment up close. The Fire Department's mascot, "Sparky", will also be there to meet and greet festival goers.

In addition to these activities, the Fire Fest will feature local vendors and food trucks. In line with the event's mission of making a positive impact, participation is reserved for vendors whose primary message revolves around health, wellness, safety, or community enhancement, as opposed to strictly promoting products or services. Those interested in participating in the Fire Fest as vendors are invited to register for booth space here. For any further inquiries, please email events@cyfairfd.org

The Fire Fest showcases the Cy-Fair Fire Department's unwavering commitment to providing unparalleled service to the community. Emphasizing safety, education, family fun, and local support, this event promises to deliver a memorable experience for all attendees.
