Copper Grove Trunk or Treat Returns Oct. 18 With Candy, Costumes and a Call for Neighborhood Volunteers
For Copper Grove families, Halloween fun is getting an early start this year with a neighborhood tradition designed around something simple: bringing neighbors together.
The Copper Grove HOA Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Copper Grove Park, giving children and families a chance to enjoy decorated vehicles, costumes, candy and time with familiar faces from around the neighborhood.
Organizers are also looking for 10 volunteers to decorate their trunks and participate, making this one of those community events that depends as much on resident involvement as it does on attendance. Please note that this event is open to Copper Grove residents.
A Halloween Celebration Close to Home
Instead of traveling across town for a seasonal event, Copper Grove residents can celebrate Halloween right inside their own neighborhood.
Families can walk through a lineup of decorated trunks, collect candy and spend the evening visiting with neighbors at Copper Grove Park. The event is being promoted as family-friendly and is scheduled to continue until 7 p.m. or until the candy runs out.
For parents with young children especially, a neighborhood Trunk or Treat can offer an easy way to enjoy Halloween festivities in a familiar setting while giving children another chance to wear their costumes before Halloween night.
Copper Grove Needs 10 Trunk Volunteers
Residents who want to do more than attend have an opportunity to help create the experience.
The Copper Grove HOA is seeking 10 volunteers willing to decorate their vehicles for the Trunk or Treat. Candy will be provided, so volunteers are only responsible for bringing a decorated trunk, some creativity and their Halloween spirit.
Anyone interested in participating should email coppergroveevents@gmail.com with “Trunk or Treat Event” in the subject line by Oct. 15.
That volunteer element is an important part of what makes neighborhood events like this feel personal. Each decorated vehicle becomes something created by a Copper Grove neighbor for local children and families.
What Copper Grove Residents Need to Know
The Copper Grove Trunk or Treat will take place Oct. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Copper Grove Park. Families are encouraged to come in costume, enjoy the decorated trunks and spend the evening with neighbors.
Residents interested in decorating a trunk should sign up by Oct. 15. Candy will be supplied for participating vehicles.
For Copper Grove, the event offers so much more than another stop on the October calendar. It is a chance for families who live just streets apart to spend an evening together, meet neighbors they may not yet know and create a little hometown Halloween fun close to home.
