Conroe ISD New Student Registration Open for 2026-27 School Year: What Families Need to Know Before Classes Begin

June 15 2026

As one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, Conroe ISD is encouraging families new to the district to complete student enrollment as soon as possible ahead of the 2026-27 school year. District officials say registering early can help families avoid last-minute delays and ensure students are ready when classes begin this fall.

Whether families are relocating to Conroe, The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Montgomery County, or other communities served by Conroe ISD, the district offers a fully online registration process as well as several in-person registration opportunities throughout the summer. The enrollment process allows parents to submit required documents, complete registration forms, and verify student information before the school year begins.

Conroe ISD Online Student Registration Available Anytime

Families can complete new student registration entirely online through the Conroe ISD Enrollment & Transfers webpage. After creating a Family Portal account, parents can upload all required documentation and complete enrollment from home at their convenience.

Required documents include proof of residency, the student's birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization records, and a valid parent or guardian identification. Once submitted, campus staff may contact families if additional information is needed to finalize enrollment.

District leaders recommend completing enrollment as early as possible, particularly for families moving into the area during the summer months as residential growth continues across the Conroe ISD attendance zone.

Summer In-Person Registration Dates Scheduled

Finding Your Zoned School and Transportation Information

Students attending Conroe ISD are assigned to schools based on their residential attendance zone. Families can determine their assigned campus through the district's School Locator tool.

Parents should also note that registering for school does not automatically enroll a student for bus transportation. Transportation registration is a separate process and must be completed through the district's Transportation Portal.

Information regarding student enrollment verification is expected to be released by Conroe ISD in July 2026.

Transfer Applications May Be Required for Some Families

Certain families may need to complete transfer applications before enrollment can be finalized.

Families who currently live within Conroe ISD boundaries and are planning to move to another address within the district within 90 days of enrollment must submit an Intradistrict Transfer application. Likewise, families living outside district boundaries who plan to move into a Conroe ISD attendance zone within 90 days must complete an Interdistrict Transfer application.

Conroe ISD notes that registration cannot be completed until families receive confirmation that their transfer request has been approved.

Why Early Registration Matters

For many families, summer enrollment is the first step toward a successful school year. Registering early gives schools time to prepare class schedules, staffing, transportation planning, and student services while helping families avoid the stress of last-minute paperwork.

As communities throughout Montgomery County continue to welcome new residents, early enrollment also helps Conroe ISD anticipate student needs and ensure campuses are prepared for another busy school year.

Families seeking additional information about enrollment, Pre-K and Kindergarten programs, school zoning, or transfer requirements can visit the Conroe ISD Enrollment & Transfers webpage or contact the district's registration team at registration@conroeisd.net
