Description

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Foundation will host their Inaugural Law Enforcement and Community Champions Awards Gala and Fundraiser. This Black-Tie event will highlight and award members of Fort Bend’s Law Enforcement community in the categories of Rookie of the Year, Investigator of the Year, Deputy Dhaliwal Community Relations Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Medal of Valor, and Officer of the Year.

Additionally, the Foundation will recognize and award five outstanding community champions who give unselfishly of themselves to better the community. The five inaugural community champions are Felicia Jane Thomas, Founder, See you at the Polls; Vita Goodell, Executive Director, Fort Bend Women's Center; Gary Poon, Executive Director, Humane Society; Irfan Motiwala, Owner, Alings Chinese Bistro; and Jimmy Cantu, Owner, Pier 36 Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar. These two groups contribute so much to make Fort Bend County a wonderful place to live and work.

The event will be held at 7:00pm, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Safari Texas Ranch in the Infinity Ballroom, 11627 FM1464, Richmond, Texas. Serving as emcee for the evening will be ABC 13’s Pooja Lodhia. The live entertainment will feature The Joe Carmouche Band.

We need everyone’s support to achieve our goal to assist our Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office”, says, Dave Moss, president, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Foundation.

The funds raised will be used to purchase equipment, technology, exempt capital purposes, and tools needed for the hard-working men and women of The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, to lessen the burdens of government and develop a more capable Sheriff’s organization.
