Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center to host exclusive Sensory Friendly event featuring therapy dogs, story time, resources and more!
Sensory Friendly Day bursts with valuable Autism resources and interactive activities, provides a comfortable, protected and accepting environment, and gives parents opportunities to make connections with other families and the Autism community.
Join us for our upcoming Sensory Friendly Day event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, featuring:
- Faithful Paws: Fuzzy, friendly, and fluffy all over! Experience unconditional love and furry comfort with trained therapy pets.
- Story Time: Join us for an interactive reading experience celebrating the fun of summer!
- BlueSprig Pediatrics: Learn about Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (ABA).
- The ARC of Fort Bend County: Explore social events for teens and tweens and parent night outs, special education advocacy, and support groups for families.
- Partners Resource Network: Become empowered through education by receiving information on free special education parent trainings and resources.

It is dedicated to transforming communities through innovative, child-centered learning with a vision to spark a passion for lifelong learning in all children. Located at 198 Kempner St., Sugar Land, TX 77498 in the Historic Imperial Market, the Discovery Center offers a multitude of innovative exhibits and bilingual learning programs for kids ages birth to 12 years. Admission is $15 per person and $14 for seniors 65 years and older and $13 for members of the military.
