Fulshear Branch Library is turning up the volume on summer fun with a musical science experience for kids! On June 11, families are invited to enjoy a free, interactive performance of “The Science of Sound” by Tom’s Fun Band.
There are two shows, one at 3:00 PM and the other at 4:00 PM, and they will be held in the library's Meeting Room. It's all part of the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, an annual initiative by Fort Bend County Libraries that motivates kids to read throughout summer.
Interactive Music and Learning for Kids
- Explore how sound is created and moves through waves, vibrations, and air molecules
- Discover the science behind frequency and how we perceive sound
- Hear live demonstrations using a trumpet, guitar, flute, concertina, and hand percussion
- Sing, move, and listen in an engaging, group learning environment
Tom’s Fun Band combines music, science, and humor to create a memorable educational experience.. The performance aligns with FBCL’s mission to make learning fun during the summer months.
Admission Details
- Admission is free, thanks to support from the Friends of the Library
- Space is limited, and free tickets are required
- Tickets will be distributed one hour prior to each showtime
- No late admittance is permitted—arrive early to secure a spot!
