Description

The Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library is excited to welcome back the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program on April 22, from 5 to 6 p.m. This heartwarming literacy event gives young readers ages 4 to 12 the opportunity to practice their reading skills by sharing a story with a trained therapy dog from Pets With a Mission.

Hosted at LSC-Tomball Library, this free children’s literacy program encourages reading confidence and fluency in a fun, relaxed environment. Each child picks a book of their choice and reads aloud one-on-one to a gentle, furry friend who listens without judgment—making it one of the most beloved interactive library programs for kids in the Tomball area.

Event Highlights:
  • Perfect for early readers ages 4–12
  • One-on-one reading sessions with certified therapy dogs
  • Promotes literacy, confidence, and a love of books
  • A parent or guardian must accompany children
  • Free admission; registration required online one week prior: Register Here

For more information, call the library at 832-559-4235.
