Plant Science Merit Badge for Scouts

The Youth Activities Committee of Fort Bend County Master Gardeners is hosting a day-long Plant Science Merit Badge Camp for Scouting America members on April 26. This educational event will take place from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Fort Bend Office Educational Center.

• Scouts will explore Agronomy, Horticulture or Field Botany
• Engage in hands-on activities, such as drawing and identifying the parts of a flowering plant
• Study important topics like photosynthesis, the role of bees, the importance of soil and the many ways people depend on plants

• Registration is $20 (which includes lunch)
• Scouts can register online here

This is the third annual event, offering an excellent opportunity to earn a coveted merit badge while learning about plant science.
