Description

Children who love animals will have the chance to explore their passion in a fun and educational setting at the Pee-Wee Pet Care Summer Camp, hosted by Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP). Running May 26–30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., this week-long camp is designed for ages 6–9 and is priced at $350 per week.

Founded in 1972, Citizens for Animal Protection is a nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, committed to sheltering and advocating for homeless animals while educating the community about responsible pet ownership. Their Pee-Wee Pet Care program introduces the youngest animal lovers to pet care basics in a safe, age-appropriate environment.

Camp features include:
  • Hands-on activities with real animals
  • Pet care lessons covering feeding, grooming, and basic animal needs
  • Pet-themed games that promote learning and responsibility
  • Creative arts and crafts centered around animals and kindness

This interactive summer camp for kids encourages empathy, responsibility, and a love for animals in a fun, supervised setting. It’s a great first step for children to learn how to care for pets while making new friends.
