Copperfield neighbors can start their Saturday with a little treasure hunting close to home when Middlegate Village hosts its Fall Community Garage Sale on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Middlegate Village is one of several sections that make up the Copperfield community, and its neighborhood-wide garage sale gives residents a chance to clear out closets, garages and storage spaces while shoppers browse secondhand finds from multiple homes in one morning.
From clothing, toys and books to furniture, home décor, kitchen items, tools and other household goods, selections will vary from home to home. Shoppers looking for the widest selection may want to arrive early, while those hoping to negotiate on remaining items may find additional opportunities later in the morning.
For shoppers, bringing reusable bags and small bills can make purchases easier. Those looking for furniture or larger pieces may also want to bring measurements and make sure they have a way to transport their finds. Drivers should use extra caution on neighborhood streets and avoid blocking driveways as shoppers move between participating homes.
The Middlegate Village Fall Community Garage Sale offers residents in and around Copperfield four hours to shop locally, find a bargain, give gently used items a second life and spend a little time with neighbors along the way.
