Don't Mess with Texas invites community members to take part in the highly anticipated Trash-Off Recycling Event on April 5 at Katy's First Baptist Church. This annual event, part of the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, is designed to help reduce waste and keep recyclable materials out of local landfills. Organized by Keep Katy Beautiful (KKB), a key initiative of the City of Katy, the event aligns with the Great American Clean-Up.

Paper: All paper (excluding cardboard)

Scrap Metal & Appliances: Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, and more

Plastic Bags: Clean and free of debris

Textiles: Shoes, clothing, household linens, and stuffed toys via Green City Recycler

Eyeglasses: Prescription glasses and sunglasses for recycling via the Katy Lions Club

Cardboard

Plastic bottles

Hazardous waste (including paint and motor oil)
