Families across the Katy area are invited to step back in time at Katy ISD’s 40th Annual Folk Life Festival, a long-standing community tradition that transforms local history into an interactive, educational experience. Taking place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event will be held at the Kenneth D. Welch Outdoor Learning Center (OLC), located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane, just off I-10 near the Katy ISD Education Support Complex.

Designed as a free, family-friendly event in Katy, Texas, the Folk Life Festival offers a rare opportunity to experience early Texas pioneer life in the late 1800s through immersive demonstrations, live reenactments, and hands-on activities that appeal to both children and adults.
