Historic Market Square Summer Bash

Historic Market Square will welcome families and visitors to downtown San Antonio for its free Summer Bash on Saturday, August 1, 2026, featuring live entertainment, community resources, family-friendly activities and a limited school supply giveaway.

Sponsored by the City of San Antonio, the public event will bring together multiple City departments, nonprofit organizations and community partners for a summer celebration designed for guests of all ages.

Families can stop by Centro de Artes from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a free school supply giveaway, available while supplies last. The back-to-school event offers local families an opportunity to pick up supplies before the new school year while also learning about programs and services available throughout the San Antonio community.

Participating organizations will provide helpful information and resources related to health, food assistance, social services, animal care and family wellness.

Bimbo Bakery is supporting the 2026 Summer Bash with donated snacks. Alma Gitana Dance Company will also participate, offering information about youth dance classes, studio programs and opportunities for young people interested in dance.

Live music will be presented throughout the day on the Main Stage and Farmer’s Market Stage, with performances spanning rock and roll, country, conjunto, oldies and variety music.

• 2:00–3:30 p.m.: The Sanantunes — Variety Band
• 4:00–5:30 p.m.: Brandon Michael — Country
• 6:00–7:00 p.m.: Da Jukebox Band — Oldies

Farmer’s Market Stage Entertainment

• 12:00–1:30 p.m.: The Sanantunes — Variety Band
• 2:00–3:30 p.m.: DJ Nuclear Assault — Professional DJ
• 4:00–5:30 p.m.: Righteous Intonation — Country
• 6:00–7:00 p.m.: Conjunto Puro Corazon — Conjunto

Although the listed general event hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the published entertainment schedule includes performances continuing until 7:00 p.m. on both stages.

The Historic Market Square Summer Bash offers residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy free things to do in San Antonio, explore downtown Market Square, listen to live music and connect with local organizations providing services for children and families.
