Hearthstone Fourth of July Bicycle, Scooter, Wagon & Stroller Parade
7511 Huffmeister Rd
Houston ,TX 77095
Kick off Independence Day with what organizers hope will become a new Hearthstone tradition! Families are invited to gather at Bob Allen Park for the inaugural Hearthstone Fourth of July Bicycle, Scooter, Wagon & Stroller Parade.
The morning begins with a patriotic flag ceremony, followed by one or two festive laps around the park's walking track featuring red, white and blue decorated bicycles, scooters, wagons and strollers. Participants are encouraged to get creative with patriotic decorations and wear their favorite Independence Day attire.
Veterans, active-duty military members, first responders, and members of Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and other scouting organizations are warmly invited to wear their uniforms as part of the celebration. Their service, leadership, and commitment to the community help make events like this even more meaningful, and organizers look forward to recognizing those who proudly represent these organizations as Hearthstone comes together to celebrate Independence Day.
After the parade, everyone is invited to the park pavilion where recognition will be awarded for the best decorated bicycle, scooter, wagon and stroller. Frozen treats will be provided for participants courtesy of My Neighborhood News, sponsored by Hearthstone residents Johnny and Tiffany Krenek, along with ARRC Advertising & Marketing, sponsored by Hearthstone resident Geoffrey Acuna.
Organizers are also seeking a local Girl Scout or Boy Scout troop to help lead the opening flag ceremony. Interested troops can email tiffany@myneighborhoodnews.com for more information.
The parade is the perfect way to begin a full day of Fourth of July festivities before the Hearthstone HOA and Hearthstone Country Club's evening Stone Cold American Birthday Bash and fireworks celebration.
