
Growing a Great Lawn: Free Lawn Care Class by Master Gardeners

"Growing a Great Lawn" is a free online class that will be offered March 22 by Texas Master Gardeners of Fort Bend County. The class on how to keep a good-looking lawn with minimal care will begin at 1 p.m. and be presented by Boone Holladay, Horticulture County Extension Agent for Fort Bend County. Register in advance by visiting Events for March 2024 (fbmg.org)
This class will address the basics of grasses suitable for this area as well as their characteristics. Holladay will go over turf grass maintenance and common lawn problems experienced by homeowners. Learn the practical management steps to grow a good lawn - doing things that make sense; minimizing inputs as far as fertilizers and pesticides and keeping a pretty lawn without a whole lot of extra work.
