Join us at the Fulshear Branch Library for Family-History Research: Beginning African American Genealogy!

Daniel Sample, manager of the Genealogy and Local History department, will share family history resources with a focus on those for African American families.

Learn how to trace African-American ancestors back to the 1870 census, and genealogy in general before the American Civil War took place.

Event Details:
  • Other online resources, like Ancestry.com, items on microfilm and print resources will be discussed;
  • The class is free and open to the public, and registration is not required;
