Join the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center for an exciting and educational Critter Chat on March 14th, at 2pm. This unique event offers a chance to learn about wildlife conservation in Texas and the importance of habitat protection from experts. The program will feature a special appearance from Tank, the Alligator Snapping Turtle, a long-time resident of the Nature Center.
Tank was placed at the center in 2021 after Texas Game Wardens seized him from a private residence. The game warden will be on hand to share insights into wildlife conservation efforts, the responsibilities of a game warden, and the role of organizations like the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center in protecting local ecosystems.
