Description

Gardeners and homeowners interested in creating healthier, more sustainable landscapes are invited to attend a free program on composting in the home garden at Fulshear Branch Library on April 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The session, hosted by Fort Bend County Master Gardeners, will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the library.

Program Highlights:
  • Learn about composting methods, including the use of different containers and tips for troubleshooting composting challenges.
  • Discover how to turn yard waste and kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich compost that improves the health of your soil and plants.
  • Gain insight into Earth-Kind® practices, which promote environmentally-friendly gardening, conserve water, and reduce the need for harmful chemical fertilizers.

This workshop is perfect for gardeners looking to reduce their environmental footprint and create low-maintenance, sustainable landscapes. The Fort Bend County Master Gardeners will share valuable knowledge and practical tips to help participants start composting in their own gardens.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Fort Bend County Libraries website or contact the library’s Communications Office at 281-633-4734.
