Austin Museum Day at the Dougherty Arts Center turns the Dougherty Arts Center in Austin into a relaxed Sunday stop for gallery wandering, close looking, and hands-on art-making.
Visitors can explore three exhibitions at the Julia C. Butridge Gallery—Somos Animales Poéticos by Cristina Velásquez, On and On and On by Quentin Pace, and Out of Place by Yamin Li—then move through the space with an interactive guide before sitting down at the postcard-making station. It is one of the better free family events in Austin for anyone who likes art without a lot of fuss.
