Austin Museum Day — The Elisabet Ney Museum at Laguna Gloria brings the Elisabet Ney Museum’s programming to The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria in Austin for a thoughtful afternoon of art and local history.
The program highlights the self-guided audio tour Listening to the Land — Laguna Gloria and adds hands-on activities designed by interdisciplinary artist Virginia L. Montgomery, a screening of short films, moth observations from the UT Insect Collection, and plein air watercolor postcard painting. It is one of the more distinctive free family events in Austin for museum lovers, art fans, and curious kids alike.
