Coffee Fellows Expands in Houston: Four New Cafés Bringing European Charm and Community Connection
Known for its unique blend of European charm and American convenience, Coffee Fellows is set to further enlarge its footprint in the Greater Houston area by opening four new locations, according to a release.
Built on the promise of 'Feeling at Home', the popular European-style café is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Coffee Fellows North America and marking 25 years of the parent company, Coffee Fellows GmbH. The first of the four new locations, on Eldridge in West Houston, is scheduled for a grand opening in September 2024.
The café chain, which has enjoyed success at its Katy and Bellaire locations, continues to advance its expansion plans for the North American market. With humble beginnings in Munich, Germany, husband-wife team Stefan and Kathrin Tewes now have over 280 locations across Europe, Asia, and Africa as Coffee Fellows North America looks to maintain their progressive growth, with plans for more locations.
Creating an environment that echoes a European café, is warm, welcoming, and replete with upholstered furniture, communal tables, intimate nooks, and dog-friendly patios, these new locations will offer more than just a place to enjoy a good cup of coffee. With abundant natural light, bar-top seating offering neighborhood views, free Wi-Fi, wireless chargers, and plentiful outlets, the comfort of customers is clearly at the forefront of their design.

In addition to thoughtfully designed spaces, Coffee Fellows aims to be a hub of community connection by participating in community events like the Bellaire Independence Day Parade, a Pilates and Lattes class, and a community book swap. The brand plans to expand their involvement in the local community even further this fall, with a focus on getting to know and supporting its neighborhood.

The new cafés, in alignment with the parent company's commitment to sustainability, will continue to offer eco-friendly takeaway packaging and have options for high-quality food and beverages served on china. The company, known for its award-winning environmentally-friendly practices, has undertaken initiatives like planting a forest in Africa to offset their carbon footprint.
Coffee Fellows offers a range of classic espresso beverages like the cappuccino, latte and macchiato, as well as a cortado, an espresso drink with equal parts steamed milk. The menu also includes matcha drinks, cold brew, Vietnamese iced coffee, smoothies, homemade soft drinks, and various Frappiatos, which are blended espresso drinks with decadent flavorings. Drinks are offered with free alternative milk options to meet the needs of customers.
In addition to coffee beverages, Coffee Fellows serves homemade soft drinks like the Pommi, which is made with Elevated food options on the menu include a smoked salmon sandwich on a sesame bagel, smoked turkey sandwich with cream cheese and honey mustard, grilled chicken caesar sandwich, croissants, muffins, cheesecake, cookies and more. Breakfast items offered at Coffee Fellows include specialty sandwiches like the frittata sandwich with feta and tomato, overnight oats, mixed berry waffles and egg bites.
