Brookshire Police Department Hosts Trunk or Treat October 30
Families in Bluestem have a reason to get those Halloween costumes ready a day early. The City of Brookshire Police Department will host Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., inviting families to enjoy an evening of costumes, candy and decorated vehicles at the police department.
The event takes place at 5100 Hwy 90, Brookshire, TX 77423. According to the department, festivities will end at 7:30 p.m. or when all the candy is gone, so families may want to plan their visit toward the start of the evening.
A Halloween Outing Close to Home
For Bluestem residents looking for a family Halloween activity, the gathering offers a chance to dress up, collect treats and spend time with neighbors and local police officers outside the usual day-to-day routine.
The department is also inviting community members to help create the Halloween fun by decorating their own vehicles and participating in the event. All participating vehicles must be decorated and ready by 5:30 p.m., ahead of the 6:00 p.m. start.
Whether the inspiration is friendly ghosts, pumpkins or a favorite storybook character, a decorated trunk gives residents another way to be part of the evening.
How to Help Fill the Candy Bowls
Brookshire PD is requesting donations of individually wrapped candy to help provide treats for the children attending. Donations may be dropped off in the front lobby of the Brookshire Police Department at 5100 Hwy 90.
For households in Bluestem that would like to contribute but cannot attend, dropping off a bag of candy is a simple way to support the event.
