Bridgeland, Langham Creek HS Softball Teams to Meet in All-CFISD Region Final
The Bridgeland and Langham Creek high school softball teams advanced past the region semifinal round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and advance to the Region II-6A final.
After losing the first game 5-2, Bridgeland defeated Wylie in a best-of-three series by winning Game 2 and 3, 15-6 and 10-1, respectively.
The Bridgeland High School softball team defeated Wylie in a best-of-three series to advance to the Region II-6A final for the first time in program history. The Bears will meet Langham Creek in a best-of-three series beginning May 24 at 7 p.m. at Cypress Ranch High School.
The Langham Creek High School softball team defeated Waco Midway in a best-of-three series to advance to the Region II-6A final for the first time in program history. The Lobos will face Bridgeland in a best-of-three series beginning May 24 at 7 p.m. at Cypress Ranch High School.Bridgeland and Langham Creek advance to the Region II-6A final to face each other in a best-of-three series at Cypress Ranch High School (10700 Fry Road):
- Game 1 – May 24 at 7 p.m.;
- Game 2 – May 25 at 7 p.m.; and
- Game 3, if necessary – May 26 at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the Region II-6A final will be $5 apiece (adults and students) and will be sold online.
The all-CFISD region final guarantees the district will have a representative at next week’s UIL Softball State Championships. Bridgeland and Langham Creek were co-District 16-6A champions and split their regular season matchups against each other. Both Bridgeland and Langham Creek are advancing to the region final for the first time in program history.
