Bridgeland High School Boys’ Soccer Team Advances to Region II-6A Final After Semifinal Victory

March 31 2025

The Bridgeland High School boys’ soccer team has advanced to the Region II-6A final of the UIL Class 6A playoffs after a series of impressive wins in the postseason. On March 28, the Bears edged out Waxahachie High School with a narrow 2-1 victory in the region semifinal, following a 2-0 shutout over The Woodlands High School in the area round.

With momentum on their side, the Bears will now face Klein Cain High School in the Region II-6A championship match. The regional final is scheduled for 7 p.m. on April 1 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium, located at 8877 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. Tickets for the match are priced at $5 for both adults and students and will be available for online purchase.

Bridgeland’s advancement deep into the Texas UIL soccer playoffs reflects a strong season of disciplined play and competitive resilience, earning them recognition among top high school soccer teams in Texas this year. Their consistent defense and timely scoring helped them clinch both postseason victories and secure a shot at the region title.

While Bridgeland continues its playoff journey, other CFISD soccer programs wrapped up their seasons in the area round. Langham Creek High School fell to Conroe Grand Oaks, 5-0, ending the Lobos' run as District 16-6A’s second seed. Cypress Ridge High School, the top seed from District 17-6A, was eliminated after a 4-0 loss to Seven Lakes in Katy, while the Cy-Fair High School girls’ team also ended its postseason with a 2-1 loss to Seven Lakes, finishing as area finalists.

The Bridgeland Bears now prepare for their biggest challenge yet in the 2025 UIL Region II-6A boys’ soccer final, with the goal of advancing to the state tournament. Fans and students are encouraged to attend the match and support one of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD's standout athletic programs.
