Boomer Jack’s Grill Expanding to Tomball Near Hwy 249 and Grand Parkway

February 16 2026

Residents in Tomball and northwest Harris County will soon see another familiar Texas sports bar name joining the busy State Highway 249 and Grand Parkway corridor. Boomer Jack’s Grill is planning a new location at the southwest quadrant of Hwy 249 and the Grand Parkway in Tomball, TX 77377 — a move that adds another dining and gathering option in one of the region’s most active retail growth areas.

According to project filings, construction is scheduled to begin April 16, 2026, with an anticipated completion date of October 7, 2026. The estimated $500,000 project involves a 12,305-square-foot first-generation tenant finish-out, signaling the full interior build-out of a new restaurant space tailored specifically for Boomer Jack’s Grill.

For families, homeowners, and commuters who frequent the 249 corridor, the addition represents more than another restaurant. It signals continued commercial investment along the Grand Parkway, an area closely watched for its impact on property values, traffic patterns, and neighborhood amenities.

What Is Boomer Jack’s Grill?

Founded in 2002 by Brent Tipps under On Deck Concepts, Boomer Jack’s Grill began as a single Dallas-Fort Worth sports bar and has since expanded to multiple locations across North Texas and into the Greater Houston area. The privately owned brand is built around a relaxed, “come-as-you-are” atmosphere centered on wall-to-wall TVs — with many locations featuring more than 100 screens — making it a popular destination for watching major sporting events.

The menu focuses on scratch-made American favorites prepared fresh daily, including burgers, fresh-cut fries, wings, sandwiches, salads, and house-made sauces. Drinks are kept at 29 degrees using a glycol-cooled system, and the restaurant is known for its daily specials, all-day happy hour, and value-driven pricing. Many locations also feature large backyard-style patios with roll-up bar windows, misters, fire pits, and oversized fans.

Boomer Jack’s operates alongside Sidecar Social and Bedford Ice House under On Deck Concepts, which employs more than 2,000 people and has been recognized multiple times as a Top 100 Place to Work by The Dallas Morning News. The company also supports local nonprofits and community initiatives across the markets it serves.

Boomer Jack’s Grill in the Greater Houston Area

Boomer Jack’s has been gradually expanding its footprint in the Houston metro area, targeting high-growth suburban communities with strong residential development and traffic flow. Locations have opened in fast-growing corridors where new rooftops and retail developments are reshaping dining options for families.

The upcoming Tomball Boomer Jack’s Grill will serve residents not only in Tomball, but also in nearby communities along State Highway 249, the Grand Parkway (SH 99), and parts of Cypress and northwest Harris County.

As Tomball continues to experience residential growth and retail expansion, restaurants near Grand Parkway and Hwy 249 remain in high demand. The corridor has become a focal point for new commercial activity, offering convenient access for commuters traveling between Harris County and Montgomery County.

What Happens Next?

Construction is expected to move forward this spring, with build-out progressing through summer and early fall 2026. As the completion date approaches, residents can expect hiring announcements and opening details to follow.
