Beth R of Crest Management Earns Prestigious AMS® Designation, Strengthening Commitment to Oak Park Trails
Residents of Oak Park Trails have one more reason to feel confident in the leadership guiding their neighborhood. Beth R, the community manager for Oak Park Trails with Crest Management, has officially earned the prestigious Association Management Specialist (AMS®) designation through the Community Associations Institute (CAI)—a national milestone that reflects years of hard work, professionalism, and dedication to excellence in community association management.
This significant career achievement builds upon Beth’s prior recognition at the 2025 Greater Houston CAI Annual Awards Gala, where she was named Newcomer Manager of the Year—a title celebrating her outstanding service and commitment to the neighborhoods she manages.
According to Crest Management’s recent statement, “We’re thrilled to celebrate Beth on earning her Association Management Specialist (AMS®) designation through the Community Associations Institute! This is a significant milestone that reflects her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in community association management.”

To earn the AMS designation, community managers must complete at least two years of hands-on experience in financial, administrative, and facilities management of at least one community association, pass the national CMCA® exam, and successfully complete two or more 200-level courses offered through CAI. Once earned, the designation must be maintained through ongoing continuing education and a demonstrated adherence to CAI’s Code of Ethics.
For residents, what does this really mean?
It means that your community manager is part of a small but growing number of professionals nationwide who have gone beyond basic licensing and certification. An AMS designation signals elevated expertise, strong leadership skills, and a deep commitment to fostering healthy, well-managed, and harmonious neighborhoods.
Beth’s accomplishment is also a point of pride for Crest Management, the locally owned firm that was named Management Company of the Year at the same CAI Gala in January. Founded in 1993 and still managing four of its original five communities, Crest has built a legacy of personalized service and long-term relationships. The firm is also one of just ten in the Houston area to hold the Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC®) credential.

Beth, a University of Houston graduate, has been part of Crest’s team for just over three years. In that time, she has consistently gone above and beyond in her role. Her recognition as Newcomer Manager of the Year and now her AMS certification show a clear trajectory of professional growth and community dedication.
The Association Management Specialist designation is not just another acronym—it’s a sign that your community is in capable, ethical, and experienced hands. As Oak Park Trails continues to grow and evolve, Beth’s achievement ensures that residents can count on thoughtful management, responsive service, and forward-thinking leadership.
