Berry Picking at Atkinson Farms Promises Wholesome Family Fun

April 20 2023

Nestled on the outskirts of Spring, Texas, the Atkinson family has been farming on their homestead for nearly 75 years. A fourth generation farm, the Atkinson Farm produces over 60 different vegetables throughout the year, supplying fresh, locally grown produce to the Bayou City Farmers Market, The Woodlands Farmers Market and their own market onsite.

In addition to vegetables, Atkinson Farm grows plenty of strawberries and blackberries for a fun pick-your-own experience. Strawberry season at Atkinson Farm runs from December through May, and blackberries are available from May through July. Upon arrival, grab a basket for picking so you can select your own bounty to bring home. Once you have collected the berries you want, bring the basket into the store and pay for your berries by the pound. While you are in the store, peruse the shelves for some unique finds including fresh preserves, homegrown cucumbers, yellow squash, tomatoes and much more.

Atkinson Farm is located at 3217 Spring Cypress Road in Spring. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The farm is open to the public from March 1 through October 31 annually. To learn more about Atkinson Farm, visit atkinsonfarm.com or follow them on Facebook.
