Austin Studio Tour Returns for Two Free Weekends of Art This November
Austin’s artists will open their working spaces to the public during the free Austin Studio Tour on November 14–15 and November 21–22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Produced by Almost Real Things, the citywide tour lets visitors meet artists, learn about their techniques and see work in studios, galleries and other creative spaces. Visitors can also purchase artwork directly from participating creators.
A tradition entering its 24th year
Big Medium established the tour in 2003. Almost Real Things took over production in 2025 after Big Medium could no longer continue the program. The handoff preserved an event built around connecting artists with the wider community.
The organizer’s history of the tour describes its growth from a grassroots effort into a recurring part of Austin’s cultural calendar.
Plan with the 2026 guide
The 2026 tour schedule is confirmed, but the current-year participant directory and location map are still forthcoming. Organizers plan to release the online Explore page by October 7.
Use the official directory as it becomes available to choose stops and review location details. The website also links to archived 2025 profiles, which should not be used as this year’s itinerary.
Artist, art-group and host applications for 2026 have closed. For residents, the next step is choosing which studios to visit once the new map is available. Admission to the citywide tour is free; purchasing art is optional.
