The innovative, Korean-inspired snack brand, Krazy Dog, debuted its third Houston-area location in Katy on Saturday, August 3. This bold culinary venture was spearheaded by husband and wife duo, Minku Kang and Min Ju. The two South Korean natives had long yearned for their favorite childhood snack - the Korean-style corn dog - and finally brought the concept to life in Houston.
Krazy Dog's menu spotlights modern adaptations of the Korean corn dog, a beloved snack characterized by delectable fillings coated in an array of tantalizing toppings. At Krazy Dog, customers have the option to choose from various fillings like sausage, mozzarella, or cheddar, or even a mouthwatering combination of these. The filled corn dogs are then enveloped in innovative coatings - crushed ramen, potato cubes, cornmeal batter, fresh corn, and sweet potato cubes - that not only add to the taste but also bring an interesting textural element to the snacks.
Amplifying the experience are several sauce options to drizzle on top, including honey mustard, sweet chili, basil pesto, ketchup and the house-special 'krazy sauce', a mayonnaise-based concoction mixed with ketchup, sugar, and other secret seasonings. For those who like a bit of crunch with their dogs, the final touch comes in the form of crushed hot Cheetos, parmesan, and crispy onion toppings.
