According to official permit filings, construction kicks off in early January 2026, and by the end of April 2026, the local community can expect to cool off with their favorite frozen treats at this brand-new 1,200-square-foot shop. The space, previously home to a Smoothie King, is being transformed into a colorful dessert destination complete with a kitchen and restroom to accommodate guests comfortably.
This expansion brings one of the nation’s most beloved frozen dessert chains right into the heart of one of Houston’s fastest-growing suburban areas — and local families are already buzzing with excitement.
A Florida Favorite Comes to Texas
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice began in Orlando, Florida in 1996, when founder Jeremy Litwack set out to bring bold, flavorful frozen treats to his neighborhood. His dream caught on quickly — and today, Jeremiah’s has grown into a national brand with over 150 locations across the U.S., including a fast-growing footprint in Greater Houston.
